How to Stay Healthy During This Monsoon Season?

Monsoon is the best time of the year. The scorching heat of the sun is no more scorching and the rainy season does not just drench the body but also our mind and soul. Monsoon brings the best out of mother nature and shows the different shade of serene lush surroundings. But with rains, comes a lot of diseases. It takes a heavy toll on the immunity and weakens your immune system as the rainy season is the best time of becoming a breeding ground for most of the viral and bacterial related problems. Wash Hands Frequently

Washing your hands frequently at regular intervals is one of the best ways to stay healthy during this monsoon season. Our hands are the biggest transmitters of bacterias and viruses. They come in contact with our hands and end up becoming an infection. Hence, wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds with running water to contain the spread of diseases.

Avoid Touching Your Face

Even if we wish to or not but touching our face with hands is one of those which we cannot avoid. The issue becomes worse during the rainy season as our hands become a carrier for flu virus which get into our body through eyes, mouth and nose. So, avoid rubbing your eyes or sweaty forehead with dirty hands to stay healthy during monsoon season. 

Dont Eat Street Food

The urge to savour street food is irresistible. Having those gol gappas with sweet and sour spicy water are not just mouth-watering but tempting as well. But, monsoon is not the right time to have gol gappas or any other street food. Foods that are cooked and sold in open are most likely to come in contact with numerous water and airborne diseases. Exercise Regularly

Rain can often lead to clogged walking pavements, running tracks and parks meant for your physical outdoor training. But, monsoon should not become an excuse to miss your fitness regime. If you are not able to go to the gym due to heavy downpour, it is always advisable to do some yoga and light exercise along with stretching in the comfort of your home. Physical exercises are a boon during monsoon as they help in boosting your immunity and help you fight against illness. This way, you can stay healthy during this monsoon season.
